• What are your current (or future) challenges in teaching?

Hello, Namra here I am government primary school teacher in Hyderabad Pakistan I did BS(Hons)- Mathematics from university of Sindh jamshoro am Microsoft office specialist and I love to teach mathematics, English and science πŸ”πŸ§ͺ am also good in crafting and project making..
I love teaching math, and it's my subject of expertise. However, I can also teach science and computer in a very engaging way. My teaching approach is always student-centered, not teacher-centered. In my class, students enjoy learning, have fun, and engage in creative and practical work. This approach not only makes learning enjoyable but also helps students learn effectively without getting bored.

Try using short videos, role-play, and interactive discussions to make literature more engaging. Connect the text to real-life situations and break reading into smaller parts to help with focus.

Yes, many teachers face this challenge. Supporting students emotionally without formal training can be overwhelming. Sharing experiences, attending basic mental health workshops, and building a strong support network within the school can help. You're not alone in this.

  • @Hendra I'm Kaloom from Pakistan. As a teacher in a rural area, here are some challenges I face, and it might be global, such as diverse student needs. As each individual has different learning styles, abilities, and diverse social and cultural backgrounds. Being teachers, we must use approaches and teaching methodologies accordingly. Limited resources, poor infrastructure, outdated technology, and insufficient materials also affect the teaching learning process. Teacher workloads, overcrowded classrooms, ever-changing curricula, heavy administrative tasks, and paperwork get teachers tired and limit their professional growth. Assessment pressure in education can result in multiple negative results for students, including increased anxiety, stress, and probably negative impacts on their mental health and academic performance.

  • @Hendra I would list some important challenges

    1. Lack of infrastructures (schools and related facilities inside)
    2. Shortage of funds, less than 2% GDP spending on education
    3. Frequently changing educational policies lead to confusion and underachievement
    4. Static curriculum ( not regularly updated and unrelated to current and future trends)
    5. Lack of teachers and teachers trainings
Education has become a provincial subject for over a decade. There are improvements but far too slow to catch up with the deficiencies. A holistic multidimensional strategy by govt including all stakeholders can help overcome these obstacles and produce positive results.
  • @Hendra i'm sabahat from pakistan and my current challenge is quality and learning challenges, ensuring students achieved desired learning outcomes is a significant hurdle, reflecting broader issues with the quality of education in sindh pakistan

  • @Hendra
To overcome this situation, school management created specific sections for each language. This initiative not only helps students learn in their preferred language but also promotes cultural awareness and appreciation among peers. Students feel more comfortable expressing themselves in their native language.

    The major problems I face in my school is irregularity of students. This problem greatly effects my strategies. I am trying to overcome this problems by finding the solutions of root causes ;
Root causes and solutions are as under

    • Lack of students interested overcoming by creating engaging and interesting activities, and awarding to most regular students different strategies.
    • lack of parents communication overcoming by contacting through parents teachers meeting, contacting through calling and WhatsApp

  • Digital Integration and Tech Challenges is a big issue. Not all teachers are equally comfortable with new tools.Unequal student access to devices and internet connectivity also effect teaching.

@Hendra Many educators face similar challenges like limited resources, high expectations, and constantly changing curricula. The most important step is aligning goals between governments and schools. Without shared values and clear direction, progress in education will remain slow and uncertain. We must work together to ensure education remains accessible, fair, and focused on real growth.

Your sharing resonates the struggles from a lot of educators around the world. The differences of objectives and limitations from the stakeholders around the school could even hinder the progress of education that is much needed.

Sometimes education community is trapped in between two raging parties with their own agendas. Their shared values cannot be aligned with one another, be it for a political reason, or just simply a factual restrictions on the field.

It has prevented a fair access to education, fundings, or even training. In a vast country with a large number of provinces, with their own regional culture values, struggles, and needs; it has created an unequality to education. Even in just two neighboring municipalities, we could find a contrasting circumstances where the struggles to access a viable and fair quality education is hard to obtain.

What we could do to offer supports for our students amidst these circumstances is to seek assistance and encouragement from other fellow educators to find more ideas, engaging activities, or materials for assessment. Government do offer assistance, however, to some extent it could be a slow process, due to some other limitations they are facing. There should be more consortium of educators such as this forum where we could arm in arm helping and assisting each other, beyond our country borders and timezones.

  • @HIRAC405752f6f0 I read that these challenges occur 1.Limited Funding.
2.Endless Paperwork. 3.Time Management. 4.Adapting to Educational Trends. 5.Experiencing different learning preferences and difficulties. 6.Disciplining students. 7.Lack of effective communication. 8.Extended working hours.

  • @Ridafatima95 Teachers must create lessons that cater to different learning preferences and abilities, which can be a significant time investment.

  • @BUSHR43f4bb18a0 Maintaining student interest and motivation throughout the lesson can be difficult, especially when dealing with various learning styles and needs.

  • @Mariya Educational trends and technologies are constantly evolving, requiring teachers to continuously learn and adapt.

  • @TEHNI58909e91f6 Teachers need to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a rapidly evolving job market and global landscape.

  • @HAZAR0c50a82765 The increasing rates of anxiety and depression among students and teachers require schools to provide support and resources to address these issues.

  • @HIRAC405752f6f0 Ensuring that all students have access to the technology and internet they need to learn effectively can be a challenge.

As a teacher, some of the current challenges I face include engaging students in a rapidly changing digital landscape, addressing diverse learning needs and abilities, and balancing technology integration with traditional teaching methods. Additionally, I struggle with limited resources, large class sizes, and maintaining student motivation and interest. Furthermore, keeping up with curriculum updates, assessments, and administrative tasks can be overwhelming. Perhaps most significantly, I strive to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that acknowledges and addresses the unique experiences, backgrounds, and challenges each student brings to the classroom.
