As a teacher, I believe smartphones can be a double-edged sword in the classroom. While they offer vast educational resources and opportunities for learning, they can also be significant distractions, hindering students' focus and productivity. To maximize their potential benefits, I think it's essential to establish strict rules and guidelines for smartphone use in class, limiting it to specific educational activities that align with the lesson objectives. By doing so, we can harness the power of technology to enhance learning while minimizing distractions and promoting responsible device use. This balanced approach can help students develop essential skills in digital literacy and self-regulation.

"Absolutely right! While smartphones can be distracting in class, they also offer valuable educational opportunities when used responsibly and with clear boundaries. Students can use them to look up definitions, watch instructional videos, access learning apps, or conduct quick research during discussions. With proper guidance, smartphones can become powerful tools for enhancing engagement and supporting active learning in the classroom." -
@Ridafatima95 students' facilities are dependant on school's premises and nurture. when student is in the school pemises ,school management is responible to fcilitate according to the demand. smartphones are supposed to be used even in local regions so students' mind can be set to use it at their pace under their parents knowledge. on the other hand PTM will play important role to aware parents about the use of digital tools.

Absolutely, excessive smartphone use does come with several health concerns. Prolonged screen time often leads to poor posture, especially neck and back strain, commonly referred to as "tech neck." It can also cause eye strain, dryness, and blurred vision due to extended focus on small screens. Moreover, late-night smartphone use disrupts sleep patterns, particularly by interfering with melatonin production, making it harder to fall asleep. It also contributes to reduced physical activity, as more time spent on devices means less time engaging in movement or outdoor play.
Raising awareness and encouraging mindful usage, screen breaks, and digital well-being habits are essential especially among studentsβfor a healthier lifestyle.
