Implementing the four core learning skills that are listening, speaking, reading, and writing among students involves structured strategies that cater to each skill.
We must design project based learning activities that combine all four skills, students can research a topic through reading then start discussion in groups which can improve their speaking and listening.Finally students present their findings in a written report.
What is your opinion about enhancing the four core skills among students?Share your ideas!

allow students to work in teams to develop and present solutions. -
RE: Creating interactive lessons with Canva
@DEXTE176e4f8265
I agree with you. My students become more conscious of their energy use at school and home.They learn about sustainability through real-life application, not just theory. -
RE: The Role of Play in Learning: Is Fun the Missing Ingredient?
@MARIY0b647d9a23
I love this! Creating joyful learning experiences truly transforms the classroom. One of my favorite playful strategies is using storytelling and role-play to bring lessons to life.
One memorable moment was when I turned my classroom into a music room where all the students were singing a song about action words.The excitement was real, and so was the learning! Experiences like these remind me that when students are having fun, they’re not just learning but thriving. -
RE: Brain breaks in the classroom
@Ana_moderator
Hi Ana I usually prefer Silent Breaks in my class.These activities promote peace of mind and help my students feel more relaxed and focused.I usually tell my students to read silently or even they are allowed to look out the window quietly. -
RE: Inclusive Teaching
@Ridafatima95
The most frequent challenge that I have experienced in inclusive education is some students struggle with basic tech skills.The solution of this problem is to use a rotation model with available school devices and designed offline-compatible activities. I also collaborated with the administration to schedule shared resources equitably. -
RE: Poverty is not the hurdle to move forward.
@BEGUM0167087d15
Poverty may bring challenges, but it can never stop a determined mind from moving forward. Many individuals have risen above difficult circumstances through hard work, education, and resilience. What truly matters is one’s mindset, determination, and the support of a caring community. With the right attitude and opportunities, anyone can overcome obstacles and achieve success. -
RE: Use of smart phones in class
@Ridafatima95
You're absolutely right! Smartphones can be distracting in class, but they also have potential benefits when used responsibly and with clear boundaries.
Students can look up definitions, watch educational videos, or use learning apps.They may be useful for quick research during discussions or group work. -
RE: Gamification in Education
Gamification increases students' engagement.
Gamified elements make learning more interactive and enjoyable, especially for younger students.
It can help maintain motivation through rewards and immediate feedback.
Students often become more involved when they can see their progress and compete in a friendly manner.
It shifts learning from passive reception to active involvement.
As far as shortcomings of gamification in Education are concerned, if not properly designed, gamification can focus too much on earning points rather than mastering content. -
RE: Use of social media can enhance communication skills and increase students engagement
@Ridafatima95
Yes, I have initiated topics through social media, and the response from my students was overwhelmingly positive!
I used YouTube, a social media platform, to show my students a weather report. They were very excited to watch it and found it engaging and informative.This activity sparked meaningful discussions and encouraged creativity.I must say that the interactive nature of social media made learning more dynamic and accessible.

RE: Effective Peer Learning Strategies
@Sanaa
That's a great idea Sana!Teach Me Tuesdays is a great way to empower students by turning them into active contributors. Structuring peer teaching with clear goals, guidance, and reflection can make it deeply meaningful. Topics like storytelling, basic science experiments, problem-solving strategies in math, or even digital skills work especially well, as they allow students to explain concepts in relatable ways. This approach not only builds content understanding but also boosts communication and leadership skills. -
RE: Helping Students Build Better Communication with Their Parents

Absolutely! When teachers model respectful and open communication, it empowers students to express themselves more confidently at home too. By creating a safe space in the classroom, we not only support academic growth but also nurture stronger family bonds through improved understanding and trust. -

RE: Extracurricular activities
@TANIA2a4b8fae35
I completely agree with your thoughts on extracurricular activities! They play a vital role in students' overall development beyond academics. Some of the activities I enjoy the most include music and dance clubs, debate and drama, sports like basketball and football, and community service programs. These activities not only build confidence and teamwork but also help students discover their passions and talents. It's great to see schools encouraging such well-rounded development! -
RE: Student Behavior and Discipline
@Ridafatima95
Yes, I completely understand the challenges you're talking about.I’ve had similar experiences in my classroom.One thing that has helped me is establishing clear expectations and routines right from the beginning of the school year. When students know what is expected of them and see consistency in how rules are enforced, it often leads to better behavior.
To deal with low motivation, I try to make lessons more engaging by incorporating real-life examples, group activities, and sometimes even a bit of humor. -
RE: The real-time learning milestone trend should be introduced now
@Bakht54a5e4eb47
Absolutely! I completely agree with your perspective. Defining skill-based targets from the early years through higher education is essential for holistic development. When we focus not just on theoretical knowledge but also on practical, real-life skills, we empower students to become more confident, independent, and capable of facing real-world challenges. This balanced approach can bridge the gap between education and employability, and more importantly, equip learners with life skills that go beyond the classroom. It's a meaningful step toward building a more competent and self-reliant generation. -
RE: Using Low-Cost and No-Cost Resources in Teaching
@Mariya
Absolutely! Making learning engaging doesn't always require expensive tools—creativity is the key. I've had great success using low-cost or no-cost teaching aids. For example, I often use recycled materials like cardboard, old newspapers, and bottle caps to create interactive games and models. Flashcards made from sc**p paper are fantastic for quick quizzes and vocabulary practice. I've also turned classroom walls into learning zones with charts and student-created posters. Role-plays, storytelling, and outdoor learning activities add energy and excitement without costing a thing. These simple methods not only make lessons more interactive but also foster a deeper connection with the content. -
RE: Autocorrect tool is Harmful
@Shaista-Begum
In my opinion if students become too dependent on technology, they may not fully engage with the learning process. This can make teachers feel disconnected or concerned that their efforts to teach foundational skills like spelling are being undermined. If students feel corrected only by software and not guided by a real person, they may miss out on the emotional growth that comes from making mistakes and learning through supportive feedback. -
RE: 🤲 6. Trauma-Informed Teaching
@Bushra-Tahir
This is a powerful and thoughtful reflection on the importance of trauma-informed and inclusive teaching. You’ve captured how essential it is for educators to recognize the emotional realities students bring into the classroom and respond with empathy, structure, and care. Prioritizing emotional safety and inclusion not only supports academic success but also nurtures students’ overall well-being. Your emphasis on trust, flexibility, and cultural responsiveness shows a deep understanding of what truly transformative education looks like. Classrooms built on these principles become safe havens where all students can thrive, heal, and feel empowered.
