Even when used for educational purposes, notifications can interrupt focus.
What do you think about it?

Absolutely, excessive smartphone use does come with several health concerns. Prolonged screen time often leads to poor posture, especially neck and back strain, commonly referred to as "tech neck." It can also cause eye strain, dryness, and blurred vision due to extended focus on small screens.

Moreover, late-night smartphone use disrupts sleep patterns, particularly by interfering with melatonin production, making it harder to fall asleep. It also contributes to reduced physical activity, as more time spent on devices means less time engaging in movement or outdoor play.

Raising awareness and encouraging mindful usage, screen breaks, and digital well-being habits are essential especially among students—for a healthier lifestyle.
