As players navigate realistic scenarios whether managing a bustling city, running a café, or surviving on a deserted island they naturally pick up domain-specific language, contextual phrases, and even idiomatic expressions. Great work in my own category is Bridging Learning Gaps With Inclusive Technology by @Anum-Rafay. She used Google Lens - something I thought about myself but just does not really work in my specific lesson that day. She brought up the concrete, proven benefits of using inclusive technology in a large class that students are not brushed off and left behind. I would really like to see her talk more about how she teaches the students to smoothly use the technology, and how specifically to use the tool as students get better at that task type or as some homework gets graded. I wonder if the students have phones with Google Lens, or it's just one teacher's phone - it'll be much harder if it's the latter case.

I am excited to share that we are planning our next session with the students of Tonobaba JHS, where we will be displaying and explaining the science projects our students are working on related to disaster management using low-cost and no-cost materials. I absolutely loved how you introduced the Fraction Pizza Party! First, you brilliantly engaged the class by projecting a video expalining the pizza fraction pricipals , making the concept come alive.

Then, you handed out those adorable cartoon pizza tools
what a creative way to make fractions tangible! your thoughtful group setup didn’t just reinforce math skills; it subtly strengthened their SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) skills through teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

The game’s organized rounds were pure genius, starting with the "Ingredient Round," where students received fraction-labeled toppings to assemble their pizzas.

To your question about access: luckily, these days almost every student has a smartphone at home, so using tools like Google Lens has become much more realistic in class. For those who don’t, I pair them with classmates or share my own device briefly. I also introduce the tool gradually so students learn to use it smoothly and independently over time. I’d love to exchange more ideas if you end up trying it in your own lessons!
