• Empowering Learners Like Me – Faseeh, an Arabic App for All Abilities

    Hello everyone,

My name is Izzeddin Qasem, and I’m from Palestine.
I’m a computer science teacher and a disability rights advocate.

My favorite part of my job is helping students — especially those with learning or physical challenges — discover their potential using technology.
I developed Faseeh, an inclusive Arabic language learning tool accessible to blind users and learners with disabilities.

I live with a minor motor disability, so inclusion in education is not just a concept for me — it’s a lived experience.

In my free time, I love writing, mentoring youth, and working on community tech solutions.
Looking forward to learning from all of you

  • @Izzeddin-Qasem Faseeh offered me an ideal learning environment that is like no other. What I liked most about the institute is its thoroughly considered, unique methodology reflecting considerable expertise of the teachers – Asma, Sajeda, Enas, Tasneem and Bushra. After making an oral presentation, for example, you will find yourself facing a plethora of your grammatic errors and pronunciation mistakes which are highlighted by different colours, which allows you to be aware of your unconscious “styles” and tendencies in the output. For me, this awareness of repetitive errors I made was particularly effective.

  • @Mariya-Rajpar “I found my time learning Arabic at Faseeh truly worthwhile and would certainly recommend it to anyone interested in learning the language in depth.

  • @Izzeddin-Qasem
Well done and good luck despite all the constraints
