    • "Digital Natives: The 21st-Century Generation 🌟"

      Let´s have a discussion on the digital world. Who are the people of 21st century. What are their rotine works. Are we who grown in 20th century, part of 21st century. I jsut summarize these things for our better understanding.

      The 21st-century generation, often called "digital natives," has grown up surrounded by technology, including smartphones, the internet, and social media. This constant exposure has shaped how they communicate, preferring quick and digital methods like texting and social media over traditional forms of interaction.

      They are highly aware of global issues and cultures, thanks to easy access to information online. This awareness fuels their commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and social justice. They advocate for equal rights and opportunities for all people.

      Environmental concerns are also significant to this generation. They support eco-friendly practices and are conscious of the impact their actions have on the planet.

      Adaptability is a key factor, as they are quick to learn and adjust to new technologies and changes in the world. This ability helps them navigate the fast-paced, ever-evolving landscape of the 21st century. 🌍💬🌱🌈🔄

    • RE: Pre-screen Concludes for Teacher Competition: 46 Outstanding Entries Advance to Peer Evaluation"

      @Fish-Fisher @chanellelaw @Shazia-Baloch @Adel-8d693e36c4 @Uzma-qamar @admin

      Dear E-Teach Forum Members,

      I would like to express my concerns regarding the selection process for the "Teaching in the 21st Century 2.0" competition. Many participants, including myself, are disappointed by the decision to advance only 46 projects to the Peer Evaluation stage out of the 235 submissions received.

      The competition promised a broad and inclusive platform for sharing innovative teaching practices and ideas. However, the criteria for selecting the projects that would advance to peer review were not clearly communicated. This lack of transparency has led to confusion and dissatisfaction among many participants who feel their work did not receive a fair chance to be evaluated.

      I believe that all projects should have been given an opportunity to be considered in the next stage, or at least, the criteria for selection should have been more explicitly defined. This would have ensured a fairer and more transparent process, aligning with the competition’s goal of fostering global educational exchange.

      I hope the organizers will consider these points for future competitions to enhance transparency and inclusivity.

      Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    • RE: FORUM RULES AND GUIDELINES!!!

      @Ana_moderator, @chanellelaw, @admin

      Hello to the esteemed managers and education promoters, 🌟

      I believe in the Oneness of Almighty Allah and that Muhammad (Salallaho Alaihe Wa Sallam) is the last prophet.

      I'd like to share a few thoughts regarding the rules and regulations of the forum:

      1. When a user posts a new topic, it first comes to your screens for approval. ✅
      2. After your approval, you send a notification to the post creator, allowing the topic to be viewed by any forum member. 📨
      3. If any member upvotes the post, you give a reward mark/star to the user as acknowledgment. 🌟 (I’m very happy with this marking system, as it encourages us to post more topics for more rewards!)
      4. If any member downvotes the post, you give a negative mark/star, indicating a controversial post. However, if another member upvotes the same post, it remains neutral. ⚖️

      This system is a fantastic and creative idea, and I am delighted with it. 🎉

      However, I have a question: why do negative marks appear on a post if no member has downvoted it? I hope you can clarify this so that members better understand the rules for posting topics.

      Sincerely,

      In digital world we are becoming used to digital teaching tools. Although some imapcts needs to be addressed on prompt. Here are some points that I think are important to discuss. I have listed them with their corresponding disadvantages, followed by solutions.

      1. Distraction:

        • Disadvantage: Students may be distracted by other applications or websites while using digital tools.
        • Solution: Implement strict usage guidelines and use monitoring software to keep students focused on educational content.
      2. Technical Issues:

        • Disadvantage: Technical problems, such as software glitches or hardware malfunctions, can interrupt learning.
        • Solution: Ensure regular maintenance of devices, have backup plans, and provide technical support to quickly address issues.
      3. Access Inequality:

        • Disadvantage: Not all students may have equal access to digital devices and reliable internet at home.
        • Solution: Provide loaner devices, offer offline resources, and work with community partners to improve access to technology.
      4. Overreliance on Technology:

        • Disadvantage: Overuse of digital tools can reduce student´s ability to engage with traditional learning methods.
        • Solution: Balance digital and traditional teaching methods, incorporating hands-on activities and face-to-face interactions.
      5. Security and Privacy Concerns:

        • Disadvantage: The use of digital tools can expose students and schools to data breaches and privacy violations.
        • Solution: Use secure, privacy-compliant platforms, educate students and staff about data security, and implement strong cybersecurity measures.
      6. Teacher Training and Adaptation:

        • Disadvantage: Teachers may struggle with adapting to new technologies and integrating them effectively into their teaching.
        • Solution: Provide ongoing professional development, create a support network for teachers, and encourage collaboration and sharing of best practices.
      7. Digital Fatigue:

        • Disadvantage: Prolonged use of screens can lead to eye strain and decreased engagement.
        • Solution: Incorporate regular breaks, promote ergonomic practices, and use a variety of teaching methods to maintain student engagement.

      I hope now we may become able to use digital teaching tools frequently by overcoming above points.

      What are your insights regarding digital teaching tools to be used in Educating our new generation. Feel free to comment, like and share this topic.

    • RE: Why a teacher should not use mobile phone in a class?

      @RAHEELSAHITO Aslam o Alaikum dear,

      The perspective presented is valid, especially considering traditional classroom settings where mobile phones can be a distraction. However, in the 21st century, where technology plays a significant role, there are few aspects to consider like Educational Apps and Resources, Instant Communication, and Digital Learning. Keeping in view the challenges like Distraction, Professionalism and Modeling Behavior, and Equity and Safety, we can balance use of it by Controlled Integration, and Professional Guidelines.

      In summary, while the concerns are valid, incorporating technology like mobile phones in education can be beneficial if managed effectively and responsibly.

      @FarhanMehb**b said in "The Role of Technology in Modern Elementary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education: Benefits, Challenges, and Best Practices.":

      Can you please enlight about the remote areas Schools and role of technology there...

      @FarhanMehb**b Dear brother Farhan,
      It's wonderful to hear from you! 😊 Technology can play a big role in improving education in remote areas (rural areas) of Pakistan. It provides access to many educational resources online, like e-books, videos on youtube or any other source, and interactive learning materials. Teachers can benefit from online trainings, improving their skills and teaching methods, while students can enjoy engaging and interactive learning through educational apps and virtual classes. This helps bridge the gap between urban and rural education, ensuring quality learning for everyone.
      However, challenges like reliable internet connectivity and access to devices need to be addressed. Partnering with NGOs, government initiatives, and private sectors can help overcome these barriers. Let's keep pushing for better education for all, no matter where they are.
      Sending you lots of love and hugs! 🤗💖

      We must design project based learning activities that combine all four skills, students can research a topic through reading then start discussion in groups which can improve their speaking and listening.Finally students present their findings in a written report.

      Best communication is to understand the value of discussion. I therefore on positive side asking you had you designed any activity that combine these skills? If so please showcase your achievements. This forum is designed to share your experiences and gain knowledge for your achievements.

    • RE: Use of smart phones in class

      @Ridafatima95 said in Use of smart phones in class:

      Should students be allowed to use smart phones in class??
      Smartphones can easily divert students’ attention to games, social media, or messaging instead of the lesson.
      Even when used for educational purposes, notifications can interrupt focus.
      What do you think about it?

      Dear Rida Aslam o Alaikum,
      I think it's the environmental impact of societies on the students and specially home impact regarding use of mobile phones. I know we people living in rural areas of Pakistan where literacy rate is not high specially in girls. But making interesting things in terms of education is the basic need of students and only through this way these students can compete with the world.
      So it's better that we must keep an on eye not only on our children who are also students of some school but should take a serious note and action if we are also a part of it.
      I think it's very necessary that the tools may be provided to students which are helpful for communicating globally and can enhance their skills and knowledge.

      @Erum-7a79c4aab0
      Aslam o Alaikum dear
      Dear in our country Pakistan, especially in our province (Sindh) every teacher has to resemble his lesson with real life. Like wise I teach mathematics to class seven. I always try to set an example of real life problems with my lesson. Numbers and operations with daily life businesses, geometry with measurements, algebra with industrialization or huge number of products, and so on. Actually teaching with real life examples get attention of students with full of interest. Through this way students can understand real life skills and mathematics use.

In Pakistan specially in our Sindh province the teachers/educators feel proud and are struggling with their roles for betterment. I am also part of this struggle. I am doing it since last 16 years.
