  • @Samuel-Atta-Okoh Hi, Can you please elaborate media literacy?

  • @Hira-Tayyaba In the coming decade, students will need a dynamic blend of skills to thrive in an increasingly complex and fast-changing world. Core competencies such as digital literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication will be essential for navigating both academic and professional landscapes. Equally important are emotional intelligence, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate with others—skills that foster resilience and empathy in diverse environments.

As technological innovation and global interconnectedness continue to reshape industries and societies, students will also benefit from cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong sense of global awareness. These qualities empower them to identify opportunities, solve real-world problems, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Preparing students with this holistic skill set goes beyond workforce readiness; it equips them to become responsible global citizens capable of leading with purpose, innovation, and integrity in a rapidly evolving world.

  • @Erum-7a79c4aab0 Hi dear, thank you for sharing your perspective. I completely agree that the next decade will demand a diverse and evolving skill set from our students. Communication and socialization remain foundational, especially as we navigate both physical and digital spaces. I really appreciate your inclusion of AI learning and virtual team building—these are becoming increasingly important as technology continues to transform how we work and learn.

Familiarity with other cultures and adaptability will help students thrive in a globalized world, promoting empathy and collaboration across boundaries. Positivity, innovation in decision-making, and maintaining strong self-esteem are powerful traits that not only build resilience but also foster personal and academic growth.

Your mention of “growth” as a key skill is especially important—it reflects a mindset that embraces learning, challenges, and continuous improvement. These qualities will certainly empower students to meet future challenges with confidence and purpose. Thanks again for this meaningful contribution!

  • @ANAST599f3e1717
I completely agree with your viewpoint. As AI becomes more integrated into our daily lives, critical thinking will indeed be one of the most vital skills students need. It's no longer just about accessing information—it's about being able to question, interpret, and evaluate that information critically and responsibly. With the abundance of AI-generated content, distinguishing between credible sources and misinformation is more important than ever.

Your emphasis on creativity is also spot on. While AI tools can assist and inspire, they should not replace the human capacity for original thought and innovation. Encouraging students to think independently and express their own ideas ensures they don’t become overly reliant on technology but instead use it as a support tool for deeper learning and authentic creation.

  • Preparing students for the next decade requires a dynamic and forward-thinking approach. The world is changing rapidly due to advancements in technology, globalization, and evolving job markets. To equip students for future challenges, we must focus on:
21st Century Skills ,Digital Literacy ,Adaptability and Lifelong Learning ,Global Awareness and Sustainability and Social and Emotional Learning by integrating these areas into curricula, we can prepare students not just for jobs of the future, but also to be responsible, innovative, and compassionate global citizens.

  • In the next decade, students will need strong problem-solving skills, the ability to adapt to new situations and good communication and teamwork abilities. Understanding how to use technology effectively and thinking creatively will also be very important as the world continues to change quickly.

  • That’s a great question! I believe that in the next decade, students will need a blend of technical, cognitive, and emotional skills to truly thrive. Some essential skills include:

    1. Critical thinking and problem-solving:To analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
    2. Digital literacy :As technology continues to evolve, students must be confident and responsible users of digital tools.
    3. Creativity and innovation : The ability to think outside the box will be key in both academic and professional fields.
    4. Communication and collaboration : Especially in diverse, global environments, strong interpersonal skills will remain crucial.
    5. Adaptability and resilience :With constant change, students need to learn how to manage stress, bounce back, and stay motivated.
    6. Ethical decision-making and empathy :These will help build inclusive societies and responsible future leaders.
Teachers play a vital role in helping students develop these 21st-century skills through meaningful learning experiences. I’d love to hear others’ thoughts on this!
  • This topic explores how teachers can integrate digital tools with active learning strategies to prepare students for a rapidly evolving world. It encourages educators to showcase innovative lesson designs, project-based learning experiences, and tech-supported teaching practices that foster critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world problem solving. Participants can highlight how they use tools like AI, gamification, flipped classrooms, or offline tech alternatives to make learning engaging and inclusive, even in resource-limited settings.

  • @LISELLI it's really very exciting to have a start towards another new successful era. But still there are some low profile areas where economic and cultural significances are not prominent to be strong. There is need to facilitate such areas for getting higher ranking of using Ai tools and ICT standards to make them to come forward into the challenging world.

  • @Hendra exactly. It's important to train students accordingly but most probably it's also important to conduct such kind of workshops for all professionals to be familiar with it.

    ZAKIA SOOMRO

  • @Samreen-Tahir you are absolutely right. Experiential learning and STEAM education is the need of the hour.

  • @Oojala-Tasneem in the next decade, students will need strong digital literacy, critical thinking, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. Skills like collaboration, AI fluency, and lifelong learning will be key to thriving in a fast-changing world.

  • All 21st century skills are essential but in my opinion in all these skills creativity is the most important skill for children. All other skills have secondary importance but creativity has primary importance in my opinion. Creativity is such a skill which can lead a child to his livelyhood earning by himself easily and which will make him self sufficient. I don't deny other skills. No doubt they are also essential. So a child child should be taught different 21st century skills along with creativity.

  • @Oojala-Tasneem ms to prepare our students for future challenges is most important task. Which is use of technology ,it's learning as skill and solving the issues related to it.In this regard I think the focus on practical work with the use of technology is essential. Theories and laws which are the part of syllabus need practical work and hands on learning.with the use of Ai assisstive tools students get into the new learning journey which giving them opportunity that without waiting work on personalized environment to learn and explore more .

  • Hello Tasneem, Thank you for posting this important question!

I think that the most essential skills for students in the next decade are :

    Tech-Enhanced Collaboration
    Digital & AI Literacy
    Adaptability & Continuous Learning
    Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving
    Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
    Cross-Cultural Competency
    Creativity & Innovation
    Sustainability Literacy
    Financial & Entrepreneurial Acumen
    Cybersecurity Awareness

Then, to Develop These Skills ( at 3 levels)
    • Schools: Integrate project-based learning
    • Students: Use free
    • Teachers: Adopt flipped classrooms with AI tutors

  • @Oojala-Tasneem
"In the next decade, students will need strong digital literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability to thrive in an ever-changing world. Communication and collaboration skills will remain vital, alongside emotional intelligence and problem-solving abilities. Being able to learn continuously and manage information effectively will also be essential as technology and job markets evolve rapidly."

  • In my opinion, one of the most important skills for the next decade is learning how to use Artificial Intelligence (AI). Our world is changing fast. In the past, teachers mostly used traditional teaching methods, and still, we learned and did well. But today’s generation is growing up with the internet, mobile phones, and social media. These things have changed our lives in both good and bad ways. Now, with AI tools becoming common in education, work, and daily life, it’s important that we teach students how to use them wisely. If we guide them properly, AI can help make learning easier, faster, and more fun. So, I truly believe that knowing how to use Ai in a positive way must have skill for future.
