What is role of a multi grade school teacher

Aslam o Alaikum everyone,
I want to know that what is role of a teacher in multi grade school?
Hint: A school where multiple classes are available and teacher is assigned for few subjects to teach. Is it right that the teacher spend his time only in teaching subject or what else?

I’m not a multigrade teacher myself but I’ve seen many dedicated teachers working in such schools and really admire their patience and creativity.
In a multigrade classroom the teacher does much more than just teach subjects they manage students of different grades at the same time plan lessons for mixed levels and sometimes they even play role as school coordinator they create activities where older students can support younger students and they must keep all students engaged with limited resources so yes teaching is part of it but their overall role is much wider and requires a lot of creativity and patience.

A teacher should make his/her lesson plan flexible so that they can teach every child equally.
They can make peer learning their tool.

Multigrade teaching is a situation in which one teacher has to teach many grades, all at the same time. It happens in all schools where there are more grades than teachers in remote areas.
Teacher can use different strategies to make work easier.

Strategy: Teach all groups together:
It can decide which lessons or units are suitable to be taught to all students together. In this kind of instruction, it provide the same content, use the same teaching and learning methodology in transmitting the content, and expect the same learning outcomes from all students, irrespective of their formally assigned grade - but because of your multi-grade classroom, you can have older students work with younger ones both for better learning and to build a sense of classroom solidarity.

Strategy: Teach one grade while others work.
Strategy: Teach one subject to all grades and at varying levels of difficulty.
Strategy: Develop activities for non-taught groups: Higher grades or older students can sometimes be left on their own to investigate and gather information by themselves. This leaves you with more time to work with students who need more support. You may have different expectations of the learning outcomes for non-taught groups.
Strategy: Develop peer, cross-age and cross-grade teaching strategies.

Indeed it’s the tough work as a teacher shapes the whole personality of a child , not just their academic knowledge. That’s why teaching involves much more than just explaining subjects

Multi teachering is very critical method of teaching, sometimes effective and sometimes not. In this method teacher must use active and apply innovative activities that can engage all students.

Multi grade teaching can be fun and challenging at the same time. Teacher need to choose different teaching methodologies and practices in order to manage more than one class. Though, multi grade teaching can also be fun if we add more activities during our class.

More investment in organisations of the classroom as learning environment.
