    • RE: Let's think about the awards

@BRYANb8875625e5 It is a great and interesting question.
In the meantime, I still keep in mind the integration of VR and gamification in my subject area. Now, my school does not have the VR tools yet, but our sister school does. I am eager to learn how to construct the gamification "The Murder Mystery" or "The Escape Rooms" with VR integration. I think that is just one of the benefits that I can think about right now.

The echoing session would be great if it were conducted in person and a workshop setting. I plan to conduct the workshop for my colleague. In addition, all of your insights in this forum are interesting to try.

      Regards,
      Syakti

@Ana_moderator What a great suggestion, Anna!
I use one of the gamification methods in science class, which I call Group – Worthy Challenges. The example of this activity is The Escape Rooms.

There are two main characteristics, namely (1) Defined roles and (2) Parallel Work. Defined roles means that each member of a group should feel like they have contributed something to the final product. Parallel work means that there should be opportunities for every member to be working on something at the same time.

    • RE: Rebuilding Moral Values and Social Skills in the Age of Technology

@Erum-Zahid II agree with you. The main difference between humans and AI (technological sophistication) is human character. even AI may adopt human character itself. So, instilling moral values and social skills to prepare students for the next decade becomes very crucial. Currently, most of us idolize thinking skills and practical skills as the main factors for students' success in the future, but we forget that when AI reaches its maximum development, both of these things are no longer crucial for humans.

    • RE: Brining local culture to your classroom

      Hi everyone!
I would like to open a discussion about intangible cultural heritage.

Intangible Cultural Heritage refers to the living traditions and practices passed down through generations. It encompasses things like traditional music, dance, storytelling, crafts, rituals, and knowledge about nature. Unlike physical monuments, ICH is experienced and recreated by communities.

Intangible cultural heritage is often learned through experience and participation, which can be difficult to translate into a traditional classroom setting. How can we effectively integrate ICH into our curriculum while still fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for these living traditions? and still using the technology?

I am looking forward to hearing your insight, experiences, and expertise.
      Thank you.

      Sincerely,
      Syakti

@NAZEE1bea78928c I absolutely love the topic of Newton’s Third Law! I’ve researched it extensively, especially how students grasp the concept of non-contact forces, since we often focus on contact forces in class. Your approach to making science engaging and practical is inspiring.

Watching you use a balloon, I remembered the idea of using a balloon rocket. I used it three years ago with my upper secondary students. It is both simple and effective. You might want to try incorporating that in your lessons next time!

Also, I can tell from your video that your classroom atmosphere is vibrant and enthusiastic. It’s wonderful to see students so engaged in learning.

Looking forward to hearing more about your project!

      Hello @Imamuddin-Khaskh
I wanted to share my thoughts on your recent activity using a 'race' to study speed. I find this idea to be incredibly valuable! Encouraging students to race not only promotes physical exercise but also allows them to practice essential skills in data recording and analysis simultaneously.

To enhance this activity further, I suggest incorporating motion sensors or a sensor timer instead of relying on a manual timer. For example, using Phyphox to utilize an acoustic stopwatch could add an innovative twist. This stopwatch is triggered by sound, allowing runners to start and stop the timer by producing a sound as they begin and finish their run. This would make the activity even more engaging and technologically integrated.

Overall, I appreciate your creative approach to teaching speed, and I believe these enhancements could make the experience even more effective for the students.

      Hi @Zakiasoomro
I wanted to share my thoughts on your recent project. I absolutely love the idea of using a podcast before class! Allocating time for students to learn through a podcast prior to the actual lesson is both inspiring and reflects your dedication as a teacher.

However, I noticed that while the video description mentions that "your project is about Factorization of Algebraic Expressions using AI tools," the introduction to these AI tools seemed to confuse some students, especially since it was their first time using them. Despite this confusion, it's encouraging to see that they still looked excited about the new learning opportunities that AI presents.
Overall, your commitment to innovative teaching methods is commendable, and I look forward to seeing how you can further develop these ideas in your future projects!

      Hello @Sanaa
I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on your recent lesson about managing waste and transforming it into beautiful craft products. This approach is truly inspiring! By emphasizing the global issue of waste, particularly plastic waste, you are addressing a crucial and vital topic in your classroom.

The products your students created really caught my attention. To enhance this experience even further, consider incorporating elements of STEM education, even in simple ways. This could help students understand that turning trash into treasure also involves an engineering design process. It would be a great way to connect creativity with problem-solving skills.

Regardless, I was impressed by how engaged your students were throughout the activity. Your efforts are making a meaningful impact!

      @Mariya-Rajpar
Here are my thoughts on your recent chemistry class.

First, I must say that your class truly comes alive, and I really like that! It’s clear that your students show a genuine interest in studying chemistry with you. I can imagine that you’re a teacher who would be greatly missed if you were absent!

The topic of Acid and Alkali is inherently interesting, and the way you involve students in real investigations is a fantastic approach. It not only makes the learning experience meaningful but also helps them connect theory to practice. I can envision how effective it would be to elaborate on your strategy in the next meeting by introducing a mystery material for students to predict its properties. Additionally, using vegetables like red cabbage to create their own indicators before testing solutions would add another engaging layer to the lesson.

Overall, your class can be categorized as interactive engagement, which is wonderful to see. I believe that your students would be even more engaged if they had opportunities to work in groups, fostering collaboration and deeper learning.

Great job on creating such an inspiring learning environment!
