• A Simple Thought Inspired by Recent Events

    Aslam o Alaikum dear Educators;
Recently, I came across a situation that made me reflect as a teacher.

    We always tell our students:
“If you see someone doing something good, don’t stay quiet — say something kind.”

But what happens when they’re not allowed to speak?

How do we help them understand the value of encouragement when their words are held back not by choice, but by rules?

As educators, we face many such moments — in class, in events, even in professional spaces.

I’d love to hear from fellow teachers:
How do you teach children to support others when open praise isn’t possible?

    Regards

    Hello Respected Sir
    That’s such a powerful reflection.
As educators, we often encourage kindness and praise — but real-life settings sometimes limit open expression. In such cases, I try to teach students that support doesn’t always need words. A smile, a nod, a thumbs-up, or even silently standing by someone can mean a lot. We also explore ways to show appreciation through writing — small notes, messages, or reflections.

It’s about cultivating empathy in all forms, even quiet ones.
    Warm Regards

  • We should teach the students values of respect and support them to show the respect for others in their actions.
We should teach them ethics and try to facilitate them on character building.

  • @Engr-Zeeshan We realize them through empathy and kindness, that's the real essence of a true human and Muslim. And they actually feel happier and consent by doing for others.
I think these things are genuine regardless of any reward.
I hope I answered well according my understandings.
