    Hira Tayyaba

    @Hira Tayyaba

I am a passionate JEST teacher at GGHS Hali Road, Hyderabad, deeply committed to inspiring teens through creativity, critical thinking, and joyful learning. My mission is to turn classrooms into hubs of innovation where students—especially young girls—feel confident, curious, and capable. I design STEAM-based activities, games, and projects that help teens connect science with real life in fun and meaningful ways.

Rooted in the legacy of my late father, a devoted educationist, and supported by my loving family, I aim to ignite minds and shape futures. Whether through hands-on experiments, poetry, or storytelling, I believe in making every lesson memorable for the next generation.

    • RE: Preparing Students for the next Decade.

In the next decade, students will need a mix of critical skills to succeed in a fast-changing world. These include digital literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and strong communication abilities. Emotional intelligence, adaptability, and collaboration will be just as important as technical skills. An entrepreneurial mindset and global awareness will also help students navigate challenges and seize new opportunities. Preparing students with these skills will ensure they are ready for both the workforce and the responsibilities of global citizenship.

    • RE: Sparking Change: Classroom Conversations on Girls’ Education

@Sanaa At Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Hali Road, Hyderabad, we recently introduced a unique House System where each house is named after an iconic Pakistani woman — to highlight the power, potential, and pride of our girls. 💪🇵🇰
      🏡 Our Houses Include:
Fatima Jinnah & Begum Ra'ana Liaquat Ali – Freedom Fighters
      Bilqees Edhi – Social Worker
      Arfa Kareem – IT Prodigy
      Naseem Hameed – Athlete
Samina Baig & Naila Kiyani – Mountaineers
Marium Mukhtar & Nigar Johar – Armed Forces
      Namira Salim – Space Scientist
Through this initiative, we aim to show our students that girls can achieve greatness in every field. When young girls see such role models, they dream bigger — and strive to become leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
To deepen the message, I also wrote a motivational poem titled "Parhay Gi Dhee Rani", promoting girls' education with pride and hope:
📜 "Parhay Gi Dhee Rani, to mehken ge gulistaan
Ujala phailaye gi, banay gi woh nishaan..."
(Full poem shared in our school activities.)

This poem is inspired by the vision of Sardar Shah, supported by DEO Aziz Rehman, and uplifted through the dedication of Director Ghulam Sarwar Mallah. Their leadership is bringing light to every village and city through education.
      Let’s keep inspiring young minds!
Because when a daughter learns, a nation rises.

    • Shaping Dreams Through Role Models – Let’s Rethink Who Inspires Our Students!

Warm greetings to all educators, mentors, and classroom changemakers! 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫
You play a powerful role in shaping minds — and the role models you introduce can shape dreams.

We all know how impactful role models can be — they inspire, guide, and help students believe in their own potential.
But how often do we reflect on which role models our students are exposed to?

      💭 Let’s reflect together:

🔹 Do the role models in your classroom reflect your students' dreams and identities?
🔹 Have you introduced strong female role models to your students recently?
🔹 How do students — especially girls — react when they see relatable success stories?
🔹 What creative ways have you used to bring role models into your classroom?
🔹 Can representation truly change the way children imagine their future?

Your thoughts can inspire others. 🌱

I enjoy many extracurricular activities that play a vital role in shaping students’ personalities. I especially like to include educational games in my class, as they make learning fun and engaging. I also appreciate science fairs, debates, drama, arts, and sports activities because they enhance students’ creativity, confidence, teamwork, and physical well-being.

    • RE: Didference between Manual and Digital Aids

      @BEGUM0167087d15
When we learn something new, I believe manual and visual teaching aids are very helpful. For example, flashcards or handmade charts make it easier to understand things and help us focus better. Videos are also great because they simplify difficult topics. Digital tools are useful too, but they are not always available everywhere or all the time.
If there is no electricity, I would always prefer manual aids like handmade charts or flashcards. They are easy to use, affordable, and work well without power.
Digital tools have brought great progress in education, but manual and visual aids will always have their own importance. Using all types of aids is better to make learning easy and interesting for everyone, especially in places where technology is limited.
Students, remember that a good teacher uses different methods so that everyone can learn easily. Sometimes we should learn through things we make ourselves, sometimes by watching videos, and when possible, by using digital tools as well. This way, learning becomes more fun and effective.

    • RE: From Homework to Honesty: Exploring AI’s Role in Education

AI can be a great tool to support learning, but there’s a fine line between using it for help and using it to do all the work. When students rely too much on AI without thinking for themselves, real learning takes a back seat. We should guide them to use AI responsibly—as a support, not a shortcut—and encourage original thinking and creativity in the process.

    • RE: Understanding the Impact of Difficult Home Environments on Students' Behavior and Learning

Thank you for highlighting such an important and often overlooked issue. I’ve seen firsthand how students’ behavior in class is deeply connected to what they’re going through at home. One of the signs I’ve noticed is sudden changes in behavior—like a once-active student becoming quiet or withdrawn, or a usually well-behaved child suddenly becoming aggressive.
In my classroom, I try to create a safe and welcoming space where students feel heard. Sometimes, just sitting beside a child and asking, “Are you okay?” can make a big difference. I also try to avoid reacting harshly to misbehavior and instead look for the reason behind it.
I believe teachers should receive regular training in emotional intelligence and trauma-informed teaching. It helps us respond with empathy instead of punishment. Building strong connections with parents, even just through regular, kind communication, can also open doors to better understanding and support.
Thank you again for opening this discussion—it’s a much-needed reminder to see beyond the surface and lead with compassion. ❤️
