• Say No to Child Labour

Child labour is a serious problem in many parts of the world, including our own country. Millions of children are forced to work at a very young age in homes, shops, factories, farms, and on the streets instead of going to school.
Education is a right, not a privilege. Let’s discuss how we, as students, teachers, and citizens, can help stop child labour and support children’s right to a safe and educated childhood."
    Lets discuss

    Let’s think:
Why do children end up working instead of studying?
What problems do they face when they are forced into labour?
How does child labour affect their future, health, and dreams?

    Let's discusss
What are some common types of child labour we see around us?
How can poverty and lack of education lead to child labour?
What role can schools and governments play in ending child labour?
How can we spread awareness among people in our community?

As a teacher, I believe it's essential to address the issue of child labour and its devastating impact on children's lives. Children often end up working due to poverty, lack of access to education, and family pressures. They face physical and emotional abuse, health risks, and limited opportunities for future growth. Child labour can irreparably damage their childhood, hinder their education, and perpetuate cycles of poverty. To combat this, schools can provide vocational training and support for families, while governments can enforce strict laws and policies to prevent child labour. We can spread awareness through community outreach programs, workshops, and social media campaigns. Additionally, we can support organizations working to rescue and rehabilitate child labourers. By working together, we can ensure every child has access to quality education and a safe, nurturing environment to thrive. Let's join hands to protect their rights and futures!

  • @Mariya-Rajpar Child labour happens due to poverty, lack of education, and limited awareness. But together, we can change that! By supporting education, raising our voices, and working with schools and communities, we can give every child a chance to learn, grow, and dream of a better future.

  • @Mariya Investing in quality accessible education is key. Providing adequate scholarships or school meals contributes to reducing children's work by making school more affordable. Extending the duration of the school day can reduce child labour by increasing time in school.

  • Child labour takes away a child’s right to education and a safe childhood.
Many children are forced to work due to poverty, lack of schools, or family pressure.
They face health risks, mental stress, and miss out on learning and play.
This limits their future opportunities and traps them in a cycle of poverty.
We must raise awareness, report cases, and support families through education and aid.
Together, schools, governments, and communities can protect every child’s right to grow and learn.

    Dear Mariya Rajpar,
When a nation touches the poverty line, survival becomes more complicated. In that situation, a family might prefer sending their children to earn wages to fulfill their basic needs instead of prioritizing education.

    • Government should try to use its resources in meaningful ways for economic development.
    • On a country level, organizations should be established to work on child labor.
    • Print media and electronic media should be used for awareness programs.
    • On a school level, school management should promote events and awareness about the drawbacks of child labor and the importance of education.
