• Education and AI

@Bushra-Tahir Ensuring that all students have access to AI-powered tools and resources is essential to prevent further educational disparities.
    Teacher Roles:

  • @Mariya Improved Learning Outcomes: Personalized learning and AI-powered tools can lead to better student engagement and academic performance.

  • @Bushra-Tahir Increased Efficiency: Automation of tasks can free up teachers' time and resources.

  • @MARYA0a2be6467e Enhanced Accessibility: AI can help students with disabilities and diverse learning needs.

  • @TANIA2a4b8fae35 More Dynamic Learning Environments: AI can create more engaging and interactive learning experiences.

  • @Sanaa Data-Driven Insights: AI can provide valuable insights into student learning and help teachers tailor their instruction.

  • @TEHNI58909e91f6 AI has the potential to transform education by making it more personalized, efficient, and accessible. However, it's crucial to address the challenges and considerations to ensure that AI is used responsibly and ethically to benefit all students.

  • @Mariya Thank you, Mariya, for starting this important discussion. I’ve recently started integrating AI tools like ChatGPT and Khanmigo in my classroom to support personalized learning. These tools help students get instant support tailored to their level, especially in subjects like science and English.

AI has been helpful in addressing different learning styles—visual learners benefit from AI-generated diagrams and simulations, while struggling students can practice concepts at their own pace with AI-driven quizzes and feedback.

However, I do feel concerned about data privacy and the need for teacher training. Ensuring that students' information remains safe and that teachers understand how to use AI effectively should be a priority.

Looking forward to learning from others’ experiences as well!

  • In this era AI tool is necessary for all students for solving different hurdle in learning process

Of course a lot and more educators are using AI nowadays. It provides a lot of resources and ideas to arrange or plan the lessons or activities.

Regarding choices, it depends on what you are looking for or what you need. There are some distinctive purposes between ChatGPT, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Copilot, Claude, Gemini, etc.

AI for students are great for providing them enrichment materials, task or questions related to the topic, and even finding alternative approaches of answering certain questions. It also helps students to summarize some textbook concepts, and are also possible to be accompanied with examples.

However, the over-use of AI is of course the dependency to technology, which could make students (or teachers) to start feeling demotivated to do things on their own. There is a strong downside from the use of AI in which we could just rely on prompts for more things we should do or finish.

Then there is the biggest challenge of all, plagiarism. Without equipping the students with adequate understanding and skills, copyright infringement is prone to happen. Academic dishonesty could jeopardize a lot of people, and in the long term, even corrupt and ruin the future generation.

We should always consistently campaign the proper ethical issues in classes. Reminding them the consequences of plagiarism in short or long term context. It should be followed by our demonstration of how to keep things honestly in term of submitting works, etc.

The nature of self honesty should be instilled within the students. Without this, the exposure of AI to their daily lives and activities, will just tempt them to start committing plagiarism. It could end up like a wild fire.

Schools should setup a special body or program whose responsibilities are to prepare students to accept, use, and adapt these technologies with the right understanding on lawful practices.

Sadly, in many society, copy-pasting AI-generated text and to be claimed as one's work has been seen as something in a normalcy way of to do things.

  • AI is vastly used to analyse, asses, and organise the work further it made the things easy for the people. I use AI for fun learning activities kids love those activites.

  • ***Hello everyone;

Based on my experience teaching English as a foreign language to 11-year-old primary school students, I believe that AI has the potential to enhance the learning process by making it more engaging, personalized, and effective for young learners, provided we select an AI tool that is suitable for their age and educationally sound.

I utilized AI tools such as applications, games, quizzes, and rewards to make learning vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation enjoyable. I employed AI to change images in videos and to produce educational cartoons using platforms like Runway and Canva, allowing my students to film themselves and incorporate text in those videos with tools like FlexClip. Additionally, I used AI sound tools to create audio, particularly for teaching pronunciation, employing TTSMaker to generate native speaker sounds. I also incorporated other AI tools to design avatars and generate personalized presentations for English lessons, enabling us to upload student selfies and the AI make them "speak" English with accurate pronunciation.

So according to my experience, those AI tools enhance the enjoyment and interactivity of learning. my students tackle the "pronunciation difficulties as non-native speakers" issue. moreover, AI customizes itself to fit each student's level, speed, and preferred learning style.

Looking forward to hearing about your experiences***
