• Why a teacher should not use mobile phone in a class?

@RAHEELSAHITO respected sir we cant deny from your thoughts every time usage of mobile is not good but there are many positive benefits and on the other hand as we see that mostly we all have mobile phones instead of laptops and other tools so we have no any other option so we can use it as needed any time.your information is highly appreciated sir thanks for informative post.

  • @Sehar-Kazi
We have observed that many teachers use their mobile phones to teach students, but they often don't study or prepare lessons at home. Instead, they frequently receive calls and talk during class time, and then leave once the period ends.

  • @Engr-Zeeshan..Tysm sir for appreciation 😊.keep encouraging & appreciating us by your kind & motivated words.

  • @RAHEELSAHITO Yes, you are right Sir. There are pros and cons of everything.

  • @RAHEELSAHITO There are several reasons why a teacher should avoid using a mobile phone during class:

    1. Distraction: Teachers using mobile phones can distract students. If students see their teacher engaging with their phone, they may feel that it is acceptable for them to do the same, leading to reduced focus on the lesson.

    2. Authority and Respect: Teachers are seen as role models. Constantly checking a phone can undermine their authority and respect in the classroom. It may signal that the teacher is not fully present or engaged with the students.

    3. Engagement: The presence of a mobile phone can hinder the teacher's ability to engage with students effectively. It can create a barrier to communication and responsiveness, which are crucial for effective teaching.

    4. Modeling Behavior: Teachers set the tone for classroom behavior. By not using a mobile phone, they can model appropriate focus and engagement, encouraging students to do the same.

    5. Interruption: Notifications and calls can interrupt the flow of the lesson, causing disruptions that can detract from the teaching and learning experience.

    6. Professionalism: Maintaining a professional demeanor is important for educators. Using a mobile phone can be perceived as unprofessional, especially during instructional time.

    7. Equity: Some students may not have access to mobile devices, and seeing a teacher frequently using one could create feelings of inequality or exclusion in the classroom environment.

    8. Content Delivery: Teaching often requires being fully engaged with lesson materials and students. Mobile phone use can divert attention away from the content being delivered.

Overall, it's important for teachers to be fully present and engaged during class to foster an effective learning environment. If a mobile phone is necessary for teaching purposes, it can be beneficial to set clear boundaries around its use to minimize distractions and maintain professionalism.

    Hello SHAZIA😊
Teachers should avoid using mobile phones in class as it can be distracting, unprofessional, and set a poor example for students. It may lead to diminished classroom management, reduced student engagement, and missed learning opportunities. Maintaining focus on teaching and interacting with students fosters a respectful, attentive, and productive learning environment.

  • I don't think that there is any problem if a teacher uses mobile phone in the classroom as long as it is being used for facilitating students' learning. In my view, technology is the need of today's time and students would stay behind if teachers don't make use of gadgets like telephone, laptop, projectors. Using it for purpose other than students' teaching and learning is of no use and will only make it a distraction and divide teachers' attention.
