SDG'S IMPLEMENTATION THROUGH PBL PROJECTS
![alt text]( image url)
Hi All,
Today, one of my students won the "Most Innovative Idea" award in a pitching competition for kids' business projects. This is one of the PBL (Project-Based Learning) projects done in our school, integrating the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) with social issues.
Out of 4,000 applicants, my student was chosen as one of the top 20 finalists and won one of the main awards in the grand finale. This achievement is a result of continuous support for her SDG projects. She chose to focus on SDG 10, reducing inequalities. Her PBL project was inspired by her sister with a disability, leading her to create an app to support the life progress of people with disabilities. Indeed, the implementation of the SDGs in teaching has been a very effective approach, encouraging my students to think outside the box and enhance their creativity and entrepreneurship skills.

RE: Healthiest Schools Initiatives
@Housna Yes, as for now, we have implemented the app to almost 80% of the students in my school, and the impact shown was very positive.
My students could not bring any gadgets to school, instead it's school initiative to provide tablets at school, for the implementation of the app from class to class. The students share the tablet in a group of 4-5 students and use the app with teacher's guidance.

RE: Healthiest Schools Initiatives
@BRYANb8875625e5 Well done Brian. Good initiative of introducing the Calm Box. Just wondering, how they used the calm box? Do they need to enter the box or how?
Last year, I attended a conference, and a teacher also introduced a calm box, made in form of a box house for the ADHD students, where the box become a safe house and space for them to relax. Each time the teacher give a time out to the student, the student will enter the box house.

RE: Stress-management for students (and teachers): activities to reduce stress (new ideas each week!)
@Ana_moderator In my class, I will regularly use music to make my students do a free dance / steps that can get back their attention to my class. I will spend around 2-3 minutes playing their favorite music / song and one/two students will lead their classmates to follow their dance routine and that's how to begin to focus and motivate to study

Student Centered With Technology
Hi Teachers,
In a few days, I will be assessed by a representative from the Ministry of Education for the "Excellent Teacher's Programme." During this assessment, I will need to teach my students in front of the representative and give a presentation about my best teaching practices.
I currently use tools like Quizizz, Wordwall, ChatGPT, and Google Classroom to make my classroom more student-centered. Can you suggest any additional online tools that could further enhance my teaching and engage my students?
Thank you for your help.

RE: Healthiest Schools Initiatives
@Ana_moderator Thanks Ana,
As for now, the app is only used for internally between my school and few schools in my district. We plan to publish this app in the future in app store. We hope to share more awareness about mental health with other states in Malaysia and other countries in the future as well.
I can share a bit how this app works.
