    UNESCO Bangkok has released an bunch of educational resources and materials which can help teachers to make learning more relevant and engaging for students and raise awareness about the importance of safeguarding living heritage.

    Thanks for sharing these valuable resources from UNESCO Bangkok! For me and based on my experiences, incorporating local cultural heritage into education is a fantastic way to reconnect schools with their communities and foster a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity.

    Some effective activities include community interviews with local elders, local history projects where students research and present on significant events or figures, organizing cultural festivals to showcase traditional foods and arts, planning field trips to local museums or historical sites, inviting guest speakers to share their knowledge, encouraging art and storytelling projects inspired by cultural heritage, and incorporating basic lessons in local dialects or languages.

    These activities can make learning more relevant and engaging while strengthening students' sense of belonging and social cohesion.
