Hello dear teachers,
We all know how often students (and even parents) see homework as just another task to finish quickly.I wanted to share a small strategy I’ve been using to make homework feel more purposeful and connected to real learning.
Example:
Instead of giving traditional questions i sometimes give tasks like:
“Ask one elder at home how school was different in their time write 3 points to share in class.”
This type of homework sparks conversations at home helps students listen write and reflect and they actually enjoy doing it!
Small changes like this can make a big difference in how students see homework.
Dear fellows what do you do to make homework more meaningful creative or engaging for your students?
I would love to hear your ideas and try them out too.
I also try to give homework that connects with real life like asking students to observe something around them or interview someone. It really helps make learning more meaningful!
