• Need Suggestions: Helping a Student with Speech Clarity Issues

I have a very sweet and expressive girl in my class but she struggles with her speech when she talks it’s sometimes hard to understand her and a few students tease her when she reads out loud. This really hurts her confidence even though she’s so bright and always willing to participate.
I always try to make her feel comfortable and stop any teasing right away but I want to do something more something that makes her feel confident and valued in the class.
Have any of you tried helpful activities or strategies for children with speech clarity problems?
I’d love to learn from your experience.

Thank you so much in advance 🙏🏼

    Thank you!
I really appreciate your thoughtful approach. Combining traditional techniques with digital tools like SketchBook and AI generators opens so many creative possibilities for students. I love how you use photo editing to deepen their understanding of composition and storytelling that’s such a valuable skill.

Digital portfolios and collaboration platforms like Padlet and Jamboard are fantastic for fostering reflection and peer learning. It’s great to hear these strategies are boosting both engagement and digital confidence.
I’d be excited to exchange ideas and explore ways we could collaborate. Bringing together different classrooms could inspire even richer creativity and learning experiences for our students!

  • @Sayeda-Afshan You're already making a big difference by creating a safe space for her. Try incorporating drama, storytelling, or puppet play these can boost speech clarity and confidence in a fun, low-pressure way.
Peer sensitivity activities, reading buddies, and using tech tools like speech apps can really help. Encouraging her strengths in group tasks also builds confidence.
