    Aslam o Alaikum dear Mishael-Naqash,
Hope this text finds you well.
As you know that the punishment has a ban in our country Pakistan. The educators must have to search a different technique for clear understandings to his/her students. All the techniques you had already specified In your post. What I like most is group study and home work assignment. Through these techniques I help students take responsibility, learn conflict resolution skills, and feel heard and valued.
What technique you use in your class?

This is very important issue, as most of our teachers in our country still use punishment, despite the government has banned it and now promotes reward and appreciation-based methods.
We need to apply modern strategies that encourage positive student behavior and improve learning. The government should also focus on teacher training, so educators can work together in a supportive environment and move from traditional methods towards student centered learning method.

Proactive and positive behavior strategies, such as setting clear expectations, fostering strong relationships, and implementing restorative practices, create a more respectful and productive classroom environment. These approaches emphasize collaboration and personal growth rather than punishment. In contrast, traditional punitive methods focus on control, often leading to resentment and disengagement. Shifting the mindset from punishment to partnership helps students take ownership of their behavior, builds trust, and encourages meaningful learning experiences. Teachers also benefit, as a cooperative classroom dynamic reduces conflict and promotes a supportive, engaged learning atmosphere.
