Thank you for the inspiring words. I will try to share my methods. I often read fairy tales to my students and ask them to draw their favorite episode. I had students who depicted the ending of an unfinished fairy tale. You can ask questions, what if...
my next trick I use during thematic imaging, for example, when we depict the sea, I always put on the sounds of sea waves and say imagine that you are there. Believe me, the sounds, the music help the students a lot in creating imagination and beautiful paintings. If your student thinks he can't draw, ask him to draw the music to inspire him. For example, putting one of Vivaldi's seasons, say that while listening to the music draw lines all over the paper: wavy, straight, slanted, curved, spiral, etc. Then, together, try to make images out of the tangled lines. Don't forget to cheer him up. Believe me, this way you will raise the student's self-esteem and, of course, imagination.
