• Forest schools

    @Ana_moderator
    HI ANA,
Its really a new concept, but it sounds good and as a teacher I would say it is best method of hand-on activity. Sometimes when I take class outside in school play ground students show more attention what they have taught, so if it is forest school or an open class, near to nature can make big difference to learning outcomes. I searched after reading text and saw a forest school in my country too though they created it as the natural forest keeping the saftey measures. I'm still looking more from that school.

Actually, he Geographical factors directly influence the countries educational systems. Where they grow up, which schools they attend, and the curriculum they learn impacts much of their education. So, the quality of education significantly depends on the geographic location of the countries, the population, funding, politics, nature, poverty and so on. The countries with diverse geographical features often include environmental studies or local geography in their curriculum to educate students about their surroundings like Finland, Japan, Australia and many more play a pivotal role in shaping educational such they emphasizes outdoor education with the support of natural ecosystems. God bless, some countries benefit from favorable geographical backgrounds that can positively influence various aspects of education like the oil-rich nations or those with fertile agricultural lands, often have higher financial resources available for education. This can lead to better-funded schools, improved infrastructure, and access to modern educational technologies.

The theme of the outing was Animals.

    It sounds really great.
When I read your post and Denis's comment, I immediately connected his idea for the "Animals" project with the event that you had with your students 🙂

Are they located far from your current location?
If not, it might be a great opportunity for a study tour or professional exchange 🙂

  • Teaching in a forest setting offers a unique opportunity to integrate nature into education.

Explore the ecosystem of a nearby forest with your students. Design activities where they can observe wildlife, identify plant species, and analyze the forest's role in local ecology.
How would you incorporate this natural environment into your teaching to enrich students' learning experiences?

  • Dear @Ana_moderator
I have thought that it is possible to have at least one outdoor classroom in the school. That class can serve an elementary school. For example, I and the surrounding world, we can spend the lessons of Fine Arts in that classroom. I think that way the children will be closer to nature and will love it more.

Hi, recently I suggest to my school administration to arrange a study trip to ' Forest in City' or ' Fruit Farm" where children can have outdoor activities and love to nature. This opportunity is only for students who read 20 books per month according to their level. This is like rewards and encourage the reading culture in my school. Hopefully , my school admin will give approval for this plan.

  • Dear @MYLOG47799627c6
You have come up with a great idea to motivate children. Live long, good luck to you.

  • I never seen forest schools but in our province Sindh Pakistan we have many schools without classrooms. They also like forest schools. I think our government can change them in forest schools.

  • @Ana_moderator which means it is a great way to convey the knowledge to the pupil through nature by making them engaged in physical activities. It also show the importance of outdoor learning.

  • @Ana_moderator Hi there. In response to yourfirst question I request you to please do check the profile of a rural area teachers. Because their approach is almost matching with the topic you shared for discussion. In response to your second question I think more common in countries like the UK and Scandinavia are having these schools. However, Our Country Pakistan is gaining interest of the concept globally. In response to your third question, for specific forest school teachers in Pakistan, detailed information about individual educators might not be readily available. But on searching or contacting the forums like this we can find individuals.
