• Is there any place of old teaching methods in 21st century??

As we live in the 21st century—often referred to As21st century is the age of technology—new inventions and advancements are continually emerging, making life more convenient. While modern teaching methods are gaining popularity, there is still value in traditional approaches.

The 21st-century classroom emphasizes critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and the development of reasoning skills. Students are encouraged to ask questions, evaluate information, synthesize ideas, and solve problems through projects and collaborative learning. Teachers play a crucial role in guiding students to sharpen these skills.

However, traditional teaching methods—such as lectures and group discussions—still hold significance, especially in rural areas where both students and teachers may be resistant to adopting newer methods. In such contexts, the structured nature of conventional teaching continues to be effective and relevant.

  • In most of the schools in rural areas, there are no basic facilities. There is also shortage of teachers. Therefore the teachers mostly rely upon lecture methods. Because they have to teach all subjects and cover the syllabus according to schedule of studies.

  • @RUBAB-khaskheli Assuming ICT and AI tools apart, all other methods of teaching or learning, lecture, group discussion, brainstorming, hands on activities, presentation and unlimited other tools that we treat under traditional methods have been effective and efficient over the centuries. Not underestimating ICt or AI tools, education has been taught for centuries and has consistently produced magnificent results all across the globe. We should treat these methods as such. Innovations are bound to happen and improve in all areas. The basic idea is to convey the message and achieve results.
