• Techy teacher

I personally believe that 21st century teacher should be a techy teacher. He or she should be good or best at gadgets and sites.
Google classroom is also a brilliant platform to engage students.
MS Teams, zoom, steam yard also nice platforms.
All these sites can be accessed during cross-cutting situation.
When COVID erupted, we used MS Teams as an online tool to engage students.

  • @Raj-Kumar Dear friend,
I completely agree with you! In today's digital age, it's essential for teachers to be tech-savvy and familiar with various educational platforms and tools to engage their students effectively. Google Classroom, MS Teams and Zoom are all excellent resources that can help teachers connect with their students remotely and make learning more interactive and fun.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, online learning became the new norm, and educators had to quickly adapt to new technologies to continue teaching and engaging with their students. MS Teams was a popular platform for virtual classrooms, and it's great that you used it to keep your students connected and learning.

As you mentioned, these platforms can be accessed during cross-cutting situations, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or other crises that require remote learning. By being familiar with these tools, teachers can ensure that they're prepared to pivot quickly and continue providing high-quality education to their students.

It's also important to note that being a "techy teacher" doesn't just mean being proficient in using technology, but also understanding how to use it to enhance teaching and learning. It's about leveraging technology to create personalized learning experiences, facilitate collaboration, and promote student engagement.

Overall, I think you're spot on in emphasizing the importance of tech literacy for 21st-century teachers. By staying up-to-date with the latest educational technologies and platforms, teachers can continue to evolve and improve their teaching practices to better meet the needs of their students.

    Best regards.

  • @Raj-Kumar
    Thanks for the interesting topic.
We also use the Moodle platform in Armenia. That platform was used very well during the COVID, it has many possibilities. Yes, in my opinion, the teacher of the 21st century must master ICT tools in order to be able to keep up with modern challenges. As a colleague mentioned, we should be able to use it effectively in the teaching process. In this way, our student will understand that ICT is not only social networks or modern computer games, which waste time pointlessly, but ICT is for obtaining information and education. Yes, we know that the 21st century child likes to play, why not use the game to master our lesson, or we know today's generation likes to watch a movie or cartoon, why not make an instructional video or slide show or find it on the Internet? will help raise our children better. The teacher of the 21st century should conduct the classroom in such a way that the child learns his subject with love. We are obliged to do the best for our children, they are our future.

  • @Raj-Kumar I recently came across a resume in which the applicant indicated that they were "Very well versed within technology." For me personally, I realized I was not impressed by this claim anymore, but then wondered if perhaps there would still be other administrators that would see this as a trait that would significantly set them apart. I have reached the point that I see technology in a classroom as something that should be ubiquitous. In other words, a teacher doesn't "do technology" but instead their instruction is "aligned within technology."

  • @Raj-Kumar Dear Sir,
A techy teacher uses modern technology to make learning fun and effective. They teach with online lessons, apps, and digital tools to help students learn better. This approach connects traditional learning with new technology.
