    @Papuforyou

    I am Papu Zamin Hussain, a passionate primary school teacher at Government Boys Primary School Main Makli, Thatta. I hold a Master’s in Commerce and previously worked in the banking sector with United Bank Limited (UBL), where I served as Branch Operations Manager. This experience enhanced my skills in leadership, communication, compliance, and management. Driven by my passion for education, I transitioned to teaching where I apply digital tools and gamified learning strategies. I design creative, inclusive activities that promote curiosity and collaboration. In a recent project, I conducted a solar system roleplay followed by a live Kahoot quiz with real-time grading—introducing digital assessment in a government school and giving students a true 21st-century learning experience.

    • > 🌟 Title: Learning Through Action – My Approach to Teaching in the 21st Century

      Dear Educators,

      I’m Papu Zamin Hussain, a primary school teacher from Pakistan. I believe that children don’t just learn by listening — they learn best by doing. That’s why I design lessons that are hands-on, interactive, and rooted in real-world activities. My goal is to turn the classroom into a space where curiosity, creativity, and collaboration flourish.

      In my recent project submitted to the UNESCO IITE “Teaching in the 21st Century” competition, I guided my Grade 5 students through a Solar System role-play activity. Each student represented a planet, explained its features, and physically revolved around a “Sun” in the schoolyard. To assess understanding, I conducted a Kahoot quiz via mobile, giving students real-time results — many for the first time in their lives.

      This was more than a lesson. It was an experience — combining science, movement, public speaking, digital skills, and fun. I witnessed even shy students shine with confidence when they played their planet roles.

      My teaching philosophy is simple: learning must be active, joyful, and connected to life. In resource-limited schools like mine, imagination becomes our most powerful tool. Whether it’s a role-play, a debate, a game, or a quiz — if it engages students, it builds lifelong learning habits.

      I look forward to hearing how others around the world are using activities and practical approaches to make education more meaningful. Let’s continue to learn and grow together.

      Warm wishes from Pakistan,

    • RE: What’s in Your Digital Toolbox?

      Hi Sanam and fellow educators,
      I’m excited to be part of this conversation! One digital tool I can’t live without is Kahoot!

      I recently used it in my Grade 5 classroom during a Solar System gamified activity. After a role-play where each student acted as a planet, we used Kahoot to conduct a real-time quiz. Students were thrilled to see their scores instantly — it made learning competitive, joyful, and effective!

      It saved grading time and turned assessment into a celebration. Highly recommend it for formative assessments!

      Looking forward to learning from others in this amazing forum. 🙌
