Hi everyone! I wanted to share a small success that turned into a big win in my classroom. I’ve recently started integrating STEAM activities using low-cost, everyday materials—and the results have been amazing!
Students were more engaged, worked in teams, and developed critical thinking skills. One of our favorite activities was a "Paper Bridge Challenge" where students designed bridges using only paper and tape. They loved it—and they learned about design, measurement, and iteration without even realizing it!
I’d love to know: What are your favorite STEAM or hands-on activities?
Let’s create a mini bank of ideas right here for all of us to use. I’ll be happy to share printable templates and lesson plans if anyone’s interested!
