What My Students Taught Me in May – Wisdom from Little Minds
It was one of those hot May days. I was tired and the sun was too strong. I was teaching oral math to my class 2 students when a small moment changed everything.
I asked them,
"If you have 5 mangoes and give 2 to your friend, how many are left?"
One little girl quickly replied,
*"Miss! I won’t give even 2 — I’ll eat them all myself!"
I couldn’t stop laughing. And at that moment, I realized again how pure and honest children’s thinking is.
For them, learning is not just about answering questions — it’s about connecting things with their own little world.
That girl reminded me: learning should be fun — and sometimes, children teach us to smile again.
Now I’d love to hear from you: What is one small thing someone (a student, child, or even a stranger) taught you that stayed with you?
Let’s learn from each other.
