    What are Tactile Maps?

    Why 3D Printing?

    3D printing is a fantastic tool for creating tactile maps because it allows for customization and creativity. Students can design maps that are specific to their playground, featuring raised shapes for slides, swings, and other features. They can also experiment with different textures to represent different areas, like grass or sand.

    I find the 3D tactile printing interesting as it is an effective way to promote inclusiveness in the classroom. Students having special needs can be engaged through the 3D tactile printing. Can you please send us an example of it? Bryan is a specialised SPED teacher. It might be useful to you too.

    Hi Nundraj,
    Hope everything is going well.

    I have a 3D printer at my classroom and I made a connect-4 game for one of my students with visual impairment. One of their biggest challenges is to enjoy free time with relatives and friends and as a SPED Teacher for a Living Skills Program is important for me to give them this kind of experiences.
