• Teacher vs Student Centered Pedagogies

The main difference between teacher-centred and learner-centred pedagogies is that within the teacher-centred pedagogies students depend on teachers whereas student-centred pedagogies focus on students along with teachers. Through teacher-centred pedagogies, teachers talk excessively, and students continue to listen but student-centred pedagogies allow teachers and students to interact in the classroom and collaborate with each other.

    Hi @Raj-Kumar
Hope everything is going very well.

The key distinction between teacher-centred and learner-centred pedagogies lies in the role and interaction between teachers and students no matter the diversity. In teacher-centred pedagogies, students rely heavily on the teacher, who dominates the classroom through extensive lecturing, with students primarily listening. In contrast, learner-centred pedagogies emphasize a collaborative environment where both teachers and students actively engage and interact, which is my favorite as a SPED Teacher. This approach not only involves my students in the learning process but also encourages them to take an active role, fostering better understanding, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.

    Best,
    Mr. Bryan
