    • RE: Reflection and connection on what we learned from last class.

      @Ana_moderator
      Mostly, I use attractive slides ( also mind maps)and students' photos and videos, which I take for them. (Slides are easier to make than before, thanks to AI)
      Recently, I heard of "Scribing" which sounds amazing to us educators.

      I will try some other day.
      Cheers!

      That's it!!! "Personalize the experience".
      But still, be careful of using photos and sometimes too busy taking their photos.

    • RE: Integrating 17 goals

      @Housna
      Each group will bring different outcomes to the whole class.
      Teamwork creates more than students have their engagements and time-saving.
      Amazing!

      Then, a debate or an article or a blog post
      Students will love debate and a blog post, or either!
      I am a bilingual teacher, thank you for your idea.
      However, the criteria should be well-organized to motivate them.

      if each student search and bring to the classroom an expert on each SDG or someone who has a challenge in order to give a solution.
      Good idea ! Bring the whole world to our classroom!

    • Integrating 17 goals

      Integrating 17 goals in the curriculum.
      Not officially, but by ourselves.
      Does any fellow have tried it before?

      I am studying Sustainable Development in NZ and always thinking about trying to teach the whole SDGs in my course.
      My curriculum would be "
      Begin teaching with current earth phenomena, including war, poverty, climate anomalies, and inequality.
      Then, map to each relevant sustainability goal.
      Introduce one or two detailed SDG indicators worthy of discussion or controversy.
      Choose an actionable task and have students design and execute it.
      That last part is always inspiring and I can't wait to try it myself.
      Does anyone have any good ideas?👊 💪

    • RE: Academic Integrity vs. AI: strategy, policy, practice.

      I believe many AI tools have already been implemented in higher education sections to detect and protect academic outcomes.
      How about high schools?
      Especially in secondary schools, students at these ages are curious and dominating their own web lives.
      How do we know the assignments they handed back are not made of AI?
      Just by AI detectors?
      How do you deal with it?😲
      Do teachers have this kind of discussion in your country?

      A big curiosity!🙄

    • RE: Brining local culture to your classroom

      @Ana_moderator
      Amazing idea!
      The living heritage is around us formal and informal.
      Our relationships with family, neighbours, and citizens change the landscape slowly. Rivers, Trees, and buildings have lives. Human beings and animals are not the only creatures who dominate the world. We create the heritages, live with them, nourished by them.
      It is not about the fame of the heritage; it's about cherishing everyone, everyone and every moment.

    • RE: Ideas for you_Using ChatGPT and other generative AI tools to enhance learning

      Kia ora,
      AI is already a part of my teaching practice; I can use their lesson plan idea.
      After generating and getting some ideas, I will adjust mine and integrate both.
      All these make it easier to get more inspiration!
      And I taught students to use it, which excited them.
      Once, we wanted to make a poster for activities, but the students were nervous about drawing and designing. I taught them some easy tools, and we printed the poster.
      It was a great success.
      But be careful of using some photos which could contain students' faces and personal information.
