  • Hi shazia, I used chatgpt in my English class, here I wanted to ched light on the other side of the topic. We educators need to be careful with the AI tools so a Chat-code needs to be set before hand and teaching students how to use prompts to get the task done is sometimes way more important than the outcome.

    Hi @Ana_moderator
    Hope everything is going well.

Some of my students are non-verbal and as a Living Skill Teacher as part of their morning routine I practice with them augmented and alternative communication recourses to give them another way to communicate with peers and teacher, even their family.

I'm not only give them Spanish, English, science, math, and social studies, also lessons for living skills due to their challenges in daily living. It is a big responsivity and technology helps with time management.

  • The use of AI in learning has become increasingly important in the new education system. Here are some key reasons why AI is playing a pivotal role:

    Personalized Instruction and Adaptive Learning:

AI-powered adaptive learning platforms can continuously assess a student's progress and adjust the content, pace, and teaching methods accordingly.
This allows for truly personalized instruction tailored to each student's unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning style.
AI can identify knowledge gaps, recommend targeted practice, and provide real-time feedback to help students master concepts.

  • ChatGPT, the advanced language model developed by OpenAI, has significant potential to enhance the learning experience in the new education system. Here are some of the key ways ChatGPT can be leveraged to improve learning outcomes:

    Personalized Tutoring and Explanations:
ChatGPT can provide one-on-one tutoring and personalized explanations for students, tailoring the content and delivery to each individual's needs and learning style.
It can break down complex topics, offer step-by-step guidance, and provide clarification on areas where students are struggling.
    Writing and Content Creation Assistance:
ChatGPT can help students with various writing tasks, such as drafting essays, reports, and research papers, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.

  • While the integration of AI in the new education system offers numerous benefits, there are also potential disadvantages and considerations that must be addressed:

    Ethical Concerns:
The use of AI in education raises ethical questions, such as privacy, data security, and the potential for bias in algorithms.
There are concerns about the misuse of student data and the impact on student autonomy and decision-making.
    Lack of Human Interaction:
Over-reliance on AI-driven instruction and feedback may diminish the importance of human-to-human interactions, which are crucial for social-emotional development and collaborative learning.
Students may miss out on the nuanced, empathetic guidance and mentorship that human teachers can provide.

  • @BASSEe36fe400f5 Absolutely, you're right. Setting a chat-code beforehand and teaching students how to effectively use prompts are crucial aspects of responsibly integrating AI tools like ChatGPT in education.

Do you have other tutors based in AI to share?

  • Hello colleague
Using ChatGPT in education offers numerous benefits, such as personalized tutoring and interactive learning, but also presents challenges. These include potential over-reliance on technology, lack of human interaction, accuracy issues, data privacy concerns, and potential biases. Additionally, high costs and accessibility issues may exacerbate educational inequalities. To mitigate these drawbacks, it's essential to balance AI use with traditional teaching, ensure teacher involvement, promote critical thinking, implement strict data privacy policies, and work towards making AI tools accessible to all students.

  • I use ChatGPT for getting general information, for my presentations and lesson planning, and for creating rubrics. I find it time-saving, and besides, the data it provides is up-to-date and written in good English. I regenerate the content several times reforming my requests and messages and after getting the materials I want I adapt them to my needs and expectations. I find it helpful and useful as it helps me to structure my ideas and create materials interesting to my students.

  • Thank you @MYLOG47799627c6 for this idea. I have never practiced it. You gave nice tips to "revive" my Google Classrooms with its new functions and use.
